To the one who gave us the gift...

I stumbled across this beautiful picture and fell in love with it...as I am sure any mother in my situation would. It portrays the love that I feel for our daughter who is still somewhere in China. As well as the love of the one who carried her...I wonder about her...Taryn's first mother. Was Taryn her first child? What did she name her? Where did she leave her? Will she think of her always? Will a specific day of the year cause her to mourn, or to smile... It saddens me that I will never know who she is. I don't really believe there is a way to find her either. We can only think of her with love and admiration for giving up the greatest gift life has to offer, in hopes of a brighter future for her... My heart breaks for this mystery mother. My heart is also full of love, respect, honor, awe, and a spirit of kinship for her as well. Wherever she is in China, I will always pray for her. We will always honor her on Taryn's birthday. She will always be given the utmost of respect in our home. For she has given us her gift...the greatest gift one can give.

The same gift was given to all of us thousands of years ago and many take it for granted...

I never will...

Thank you...
